Via Chassé is a family-owned business that has been importing private label products for European retail chains for over 45 years, specializing in household goods, textiles, stationery, and hobby products. Our office and distribution center in Maurik form the heart of our organization, where we work with a fast-growing team to achieve our ambitious goals. To support our growth, expansions are planned for both our distribution center and IT infrastructure in 2025.

What does your role look like?
As a Logistics Manager, you are responsible for the entire logistics process within Via Chassé. You will develop a forward-looking vision for logistics and supply chain, ensuring optimal coordination between our international warehouse locations and the flow of goods from Asia and India. You will manage various teams, including supply chain planners and logistics administrative staff, ensuring an efficient and well-organized warehouse operation. Additionally, you actively contribute to further process optimization at both strategic and operational levels.

What will you do?

Strategic Logistics

  • Develop a forward-looking vision for logistics and supply chain.
  • Evaluate our international warehouse locations, such as in France, and explore new locations in Spain, Italy, and Poland.
  • Optimize logistics processes to work more efficiently, sustainably, and customer-focused.
  • Manage relationships with carriers, shippers, and negotiate contracts.

Supply Chain Planning

  • Supervise three supply chain planners and ensure optimal stock rotation and inventory management.
  • Coordinate the flow of goods from suppliers in Asia and India to Europe.
  • Collaborate with other departments to solve planning issues and improve efficiency.

Logistics Administration

  • Lead a team of three logistics administrative staff responsible for order entry, container management, and stock control.
  • Select a Logistics Coordinator to streamline operational processes, allowing you to focus more on strategy and team development.

Warehouse Management

  • Indirectly manage a warehouse team of 15 employees, including a team leader and three assistant team leaders.
  • Ensure a safe, efficient, and well-organized warehouse operation.
  • Promote collaboration between the warehouse and logistics administration.

Who are you?
We are looking for an energetic Logistics Manager who makes a difference at both the strategic and operational levels. You are a natural leader with analytical insight and the hands-on mentality needed to improve processes. You have experience with inventory management, international logistics, and process optimization and can easily switch between strategic and operational tasks.

Your profile:

  • Higher professional education level (HBO), preferably in logistics, supply chain, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a similar role within logistics or supply chain.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central is a plus) and preferably with WMS implementations.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to improve processes.
